With a combined 50 years of experience in preparing accounts and taxation computations for individuals and small businesses, we work with you to help run your business successfully. We are a founder member of the Evenlode Network of Accountants, a group of similar practices across Southern England. Based in Market Square in the centre of Witney, Oxfordshire, we serve individual taxpayers, clients with small businesses and medium sized companies. Existing clients like the way we work less formal "office hours" and can make personal visits to your home or business, when you can't make it to us. We have a number of alliances with other organisations, meaning if we don't provide a particular service, we know someone who can!! Staff Profiles
Graham Treadwell FRSA, FMAAT, Managing Director. Graham spent 24 years in local government, starting as a trainee accountant and concluding as Assistant Treasurer, before moving to an international London-based company in 1994. He started TaxAssist Direct in Oxfordshire in 1998, left the franchise in 2003 and the practice now has almost 400 clients ranging from pubs, garages and hairdressers through to professional musicians and photographers. He attends many events and meetings designed to help meet potential clients and build relationships with local businesses and other organisations.
Doreen Treadwell, Practice Manager. Doreen has worked full-time within the practice since 1999. She successfully devised and implemented the “back office” systems that keep the practice running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, happy to leave the job of front man to Graham. She enjoys entertaining friends and short breaks in Europe and the UK.
Trevor Wilks, Accountant. Trevor has spent the last 40 years involved in accountancy, working with firms in West Oxfordshire. He has experience of preparing accounts for rural businesses as well as industrial organisations. He enjoys the variety that working with Treadwell & Co provides. He lives in Witney with his wife and Tia, their West Highland Terrier.
Andrew Treadwell, Director at Payrun Ltd. Andrew has 20 years' experience in providing payroll solutions - outsource the headache of monthly calculations and the annual return for a very competitive price.
Harriet Higgs, Office Assistant. Usually your first point of contact at Treadwell & Co., Harriet assists Doreen in the smooth running of the practice whilst trying to keep tight control of the filing system! Harriet's passion is the arts, including the theatre and cinema. Harriet went on maternity leave in April and has produced Bryony, we have appointed Jay-Lee Cooper-Pimlott to provide the maternity cover. Our colleagues Claire Butler and Ruth Hems (bookkeepers) and Margaret Ricketts (former HMRC Tax Inspector) help us on cases with special requirements. All three have extensive experience and local knowledge and can also provide bookkeeping, VAT and PAYE services to clients on a stand-alone basis.
